It is a good tablet. 32 GB may not be a lot. But I have added SD card. Not all apps are
movable on to the SD card. But many are. That will solve the space problem. Remember that Netflix is movable, so if you download movies for offline viewing, a bigger SD card will work great.

On the downside, it comes with older Android 7. But that is not uncommon for Android tablets.

I bought the 10.5" version for my daughter that is good as well and have higher screen resolution. However, that is a little too big for my taste. To me, a tablet should feel handy on your hands.

I replaced a 9.5" Google Nexus 9 with this one. While the Nexus 9 was originally a much higher quality tablet all around, it started being jittery and stuck for last one or two years. Interestingly, this one being new, still has the same 2 GB RAM as the Nexus 9. But it doesn't get stuck -- at least for now. And it costs half of the Nexus 9.

All in all, it is a decent tablet with value pricing that will do most of your routine happily. You won't be disappointed. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8

Easy to use, Plenty of memory, Nice camera images!

This is my first tablet, at age 37. I wanted something easy to use and not too expensive. This fits my needs perfectly.
It has 32G of memory, so I have plenty of room for pictures and apps.
It also has 2G of ram, so I can shop online without any lag in load time.
The screen is crisp and clear, the colors are bright.
Both cameras do a great job!
The battery life so far has been great. I get more than 24 hours, even with lots of use. I've never tried for more, as I charge it every night.
It was easy to learn and personalize to my liking.

I recommend this tablet to anyone who needs a great, basic workhorse.

Works great.

Works great. I like the user interface, though the iPad, imo, has a better UI. It's easy to set up and easy to use, and it's big enough to read articles and ebooks while being small enough to toss in to my laptop bag without having to worry if there's enough room (I like to also carry magazines, newspapers, and/or notebooks with me just about wherever I go).

It works with my debit and credit card reader and software, and it's big enough that everyone can read it and sign their name when the software prompts them to. I was worried that the older people wouldn't be able to see well enough to use it, but that's not a problem like it was with my phone

Fast and efficient enough for the daily tech user

Processor is fast. Set everything up to save to my 64GB external memory stick so that the device can stay at its optimal performance.

Touch response is very good.
Network connection over WiFi works great.
Introductory navigation was easy.
Visually very clear screen and lighting stays lit and does not dim unless you set it.

I’d buy and recommend. Although I wouldn’t recommend buying on amazon since their delivery people like to throw things onto the ground or at your door - especially when you’ve already left a note to set into mail box or floor.

love it so much

I was replacing my 7" Samsung tablet (which we gave to our grandson for Christmas) and got this larger one. I originally was looking at the bigger ones, like the 10", but ended up going with this one because of the price. I didn't expect much difference in size from the 7" to the 8" but it was more that I thought it would be. I'm glad I didn't get a bigger one since I do carry mine with me when I go places and a larger one wouldn't have fit in my purse at all.

To be honest, I mainly use mine for reading so I haven't used much of anything else on it so far. I am not that tech savvy and don't know everything I'm able to use a tablet for yet. I know I love Samsung brand versus some of the other brands I looked at before. The picture is better. I also like that I am able to download plenty of apps, unlike the Fire tablet, which was the other brand I was seriously considering. That was the main thing that swayed my decision this time. This tablet seems to stay charged for a fairly long time. I also bought this one because it was 16GB versus my old one, which was 8GB. This has a 16GB micro SD card but I've never figured out how to get the books I've bought to go to the SD card - at least they never would on my old tablet. I would buy this one again. I've been very happy with it so far.

Really Happy With the Tab A

I have a Tab 4 that I was using prior to the Tab A. I really liked that one, too, however, it was slowing down and I really couldn't keep any apps that I wanted for lack of space. The Tab A has twice the amount of space, and I'm really happy with the speed of loading apps or even my preferred browser. All in all, it's just faster. Picture quality is way better on this device than the Tab 4. I also prefer the newer OS (Nougat) to Tab 4's Lollipop. I wish Samsung would update the OS to Oreo, but I don't think that's gonna happen. I will say that Samsung and Google always load these devices down with too much garbage, so I also purchased a small app that I'm able to disable any of the bloatware (or system apps) I don't use or want running in the background constantly (and I didn't even have to Root the device to do it). Nice. As far as durability is concerned, I don't take any chances. Electronic devices tend to be delicate, so I bought an Otter Box Defender Series case for it so when my Grandson gets a hold of it, it's not going to smash in to a million pieces.
